I'll be traveling - what's the best way for me to change Canadian $ (CAD) to Argentina Peso (ARS)?

Whatever you do, do NOT, I repeat... do NOT exchange your money in the airport in Canada or in Argentina. It's absolutely the WORST place to exchange currency. If you have to, exchange just enough to pay the taxi to take you to an exchange house (casa de cambio) as soon as you arrive in Argentina. The official buy/sell rates can be found at the Argentina National Bank site at a href="http://www.bna.com.ar/bp/bp_cotizaciones.asp?op=m." rel="nofollow"http://www.bna.com.ar/bp/bp_cotizaciones…/a This will give you a fairly good idea what to expect at an exchange house though it will vary slightly from place to place. When you hit the airport, you'll see that they will have rates that will hit you with approximately a 10% premium for doing it in the airport. Regarding Visa, I think you'll find that the rate will vary slightly depending on the bank which holds the card, but generally, you'll do as well or better with a credit / debit card as you will with exchanging cash. The problem is that most places don't take plastic. It's a very cash based society.
